Group X Class Descriptions



ABT

An advanced class for totally toning your abs, butt and thighs.  Focuses on strengthening and sculpting using balls, body weight and barbells.

Ball Blitz

This muscle conditioning cardio class uses the stability ball and Bosu ball to uniquely challenge your muscles to a whole new level. Enhance strength, endurance, core conditioning and balance. All levels.

Bosu Boot-camp

This unique class offers a mix of cardio, strength training and balance work on the ever popular Bosu Ball.

Cardio Bosu

Get your cardio workout while building core stability and strength! Cardio Bosu keeps you moving, challenges your balance and makes you sweat. This class is challenging but welcome to all levels.

Cardio Step n' Sculpt

A total body workout! This class alternates between cardio intervals and muscular strength and endurance drills utilizing the step. Continuous movement to great music keeps the heart rate up for a sweat drenched sculpting session.

Corporate Crunch

A 40min class perfect for your lunch hour.  Cardio-muscular conditioning class using intense drills, functional exercise and core techniques to make you sweat and burn.

Hard Core Abs

A great class to target you tummy! This intermediate level class has advanced core exercises to shape and tone your abdominal area. Core rotation, crunches and planks are just a few examples of some of the exercises we do.

MAXED OUT

is an athletic inspired class that incorporates total body strength exercises and intense cardio conditioning drills. The class begins with a standard dynamic warm up followed by a total body strength workout utilizing various equipment such as dumb bells, bar, BOSU, and kettle bells. The second half of the class focuses on a variety of athletic cardio drills followed by a cool down, core strength and stretch. If you're ready to take it to the next level and you want to be pushed, then this is the class for you!

Nash's Knock out!

A fun high intensity that will Knock your socks off!  Non contact, kickboxing styled cardio workout, designed to burn calories and release your frustrations.  Moves are simple yet intense based on boxing, Kick boxing,  Capoeira, Athletic conditioning drills and calisthenics.  Come burn off some of the gluttony of the weekend and release some toxins.

Plyometrics

Designed to help athletes gain speed and power. Plyometrics works the "fast twitch muscles" using explosive training and speed drills. Great for all sports and there is no choreography involved-all you need is a bottle of water and a towel.

PUMP

Get ready to get toned up! Pump will sculpt and tone your entire body from head to toe. Using barbells, dumbbells, bands and you own body to work your muscles and build strength. This class is intended for all levels as you can select the weight you use.

SKI FIT

Challenges your individual fitness and cardio endurance with a variety of drills created to prepare your body for the slopes. Get ready to work hard doing exercises that will leave your legs toned and strong, improve your upper body strength, tighten your core and improve your stamina. Fast paced and energizing, this class will have you ready for all winter sports in no time.

Strength n' Stretch

This energetic class is suitable for all fitness levels - participants choose their own weights. The workout consists of barbell training for every major muscle group. Posture, correct lifting technique and core muscle engagement are emphasized. Choreography is simple:  think of it as a structured weightlifting workout to music. Floor work and a complete body stretch round out the second half of the class.

Summer Fit

Get ready for all that summer in Vancouver has to offer by looking and feeling your best! Incorporating high intensity cardio with full body strength conditioning, this class will prepare you for beach volleyball, outdoor hikes, or the bathing suit you haven’t worn since last year. Get ready to work hard doing exercises that will leave your legs toned, improve your upper body strength, tighten your core and improve your stamina. Fast paced and energizing, this class will have you ready for the beach in no time!

The Strength Test

How strong are you? Combined with Plyometrics, this class will test your limits. Focusing on exercises that use your body weight alone, see how you stack up. A class packed with push-ups, crunches, lunges, dips and more, this intense class will put you to the test.

The Morning Grind

This class is the second portion of the 90-minute Grind. Just as challenging as the “Grouse Grind” except indoors. The first half is 45 minutes of spin, which will challenge your cardio level. This portion is a boot-camp style workout intended to challenge your strength and endurance. You can participate in the entire 90 minute class or choose either the spin or Boot-camp. All levels welcome..... but be prepared for a challenge!!

Maxed Out!

This power packed class combines strength training with high intensity interval training for the ultimate total body workout.  This challenging class uses BOSU Balls, Free Weights, and Stability Balls to strengthen your core, sculpt your arms, butt and legs and increase your cardio conditioning.

Yoga Body

Rejuvenate and shape your body in a high energy, yoga-based workout designed to make you sweat, tone and strengthen your core, upper and lower body using traditional yoga poses blended with fitness moves and a 5' core ball. Challenging!
